Wright Urges Churches: Each Church have their highest Lottie Moon Offering Ever

Marietta, Georgia – August 23, 2010 – In his second video address to pastors and church leaders, SBC President Bryant Wright challenges every church in the SBC to set their highest Lottie Moon offering goal ever. The video challenge, posted at Pray4SBC.com, also features an interview with fellow Atlanta pastor Dr. Earnest Easley of Roswell Street Baptist Church, who recently led his church in giving their highest Lottie Moon offering. Easley describes their process – from creating awareness to surpassing their goal.

Easley suggests as we lead God’s people to give sacrificially, it personalizes the perception of missions and leads to greater involvement. Giving builds excitement and confidence in the impact God can have through our churches for His Kingdom.

Wright also shares portions of a letter received from Kyle Waddell, Pastor of Pine Level Baptist Church in South Carolina, who had the same experience. Two churches, of varying sizes, and both stories speak directly to one of Wright’s fundamental challenges for this year: that every church would step out on faith to set the largest goal ever for their Lottie Moon offering.

Wright established Pray4SBC.com to post monthly video messages to speak directly to SBC pastors and church leaders.  The site also features a daily devotion written by Wright, as well as the opportunity for church leaders to join Wright’s prayer team.
